National Day of Russia in the UAE On 12 June 2014 our great country celebrated its national holiday – The National Day of Russia. It’s one of the newest holidays in the Russian calendar that became a most respectful one. Abu Dhabi. Metropolitan Chronicle O n 11 June 2014 the Embassy of Russian Federation in the UAE has held a gala reception. His Excellency Russian Ambassador to the UAE Mr. Alexander Efimov greeted the representatives of the UAE government authorities, diplomatic missions, business elite and media. In his speech H. E. mentioned upward trend in bilateral relation- ship between two countries, thanked the Emirati part for a constant constructive dialogue aimed to partnership develop- ment in different spheres, and wished everybody all the best. HH Sheikha Lubna Al Qassimi, Minister of the Foreign Trade of the UAE, was the honorary guest at the National Day of Russia reception in Abu Dhabi. During the whole evening the guests enjoyed Russian folk songs performed by the young singer Mlada and free and slick talk.
