Dubai. From Ancient to Modern Russia 9 June 2014 the Consulate General of Russia and Dubai and Northern Emirates has held a festive gala-dinner in Joharah Ballroom of Madinat Jumeira. H. E. Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Belhaif Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works of the UAE, was the honorary guest of the celebration. Representatives of governmental ministries of the UAE, embassies and consul- ates of different countries of the world, businessmen and jour- nalists were among over 450 invited guests. Mr. Sergey Soloveichik, the European Judo Union President and two London 2012 Summer Olympic’s champions in Judo – Mr. Arsen Galstyan and Mr. Mansur Isaev – were the special guests of the event. They flew from Moscow to Dubai invited by the Consulate General of Russian Federation in Dubai and Nortern Emirates and Art Media event management company. After National Anthems of the UAE and Russia, HE Consul General of the Russian Federation Mr. Gocha Buachidze made an inaugural address. For the second year the Consulate General of Russian Federation has awarded companies that contributed to the development of Russian-Emirati relations in international tourism, hospitality, oil and gas, sport, socially important and cultural projects, social non-profit organizations. The awards were presented to Arabtec Holding, Madinat Jumeirah, LUKOIL Overseas LLC, AAL Group, Gazprom Neft, BB1 Business Centre, Strait Group, ITPS Middle East LLC, Alrosa Diamonds, Art Media FZ LLC, Orient Legal Translation, MAG Group, KAMAZ. Special gifts provided by Visconti Luxury Italian Company and MOISEIKIN Russian Jewelry House were given to Olympic champions Mr. Arsen Galstyan and Mr. Mansur Isaev; Dr. Lina Oweis, director of Senses Day Care Center for people with special needs; Dr. Lyudmila Vassilieva, director of Holistic Healing Centre in Dubai; Mr. JimWheat, British artist; Russian folk singer Mlada and newly registered in Duba non-profit Russian Art and Culture Association and its President Mrs. Elena Olkhovskaya. The celebration of the National Day of Russia in Dubai was supported by a general sponsor - Arabtec Holding, as well as sponsors GAZPROM NEFT, AAL Group, ITPS Middle east LLC, Alrosa Diamonds,KAMAZ, Strait Group,Volga-Dnepr Company, Orient Legal Translation and Consulting, and Art Media/Art Films company.
