Jose Silva is the new CEO of Jumeirah

Jumeirah Group has welcomed Jose Silva onboard as its new CEO. With 35 years of hospitality industry experience in tow, including almost 25 years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Silva will use his expertise to lead international expansion and elevate the Jumeirah brand further. Highlighting his significance to the world of hospitality, Silva was crowned ‘Hotelier of the Year’ in 2016 by Virtuoso.

Silva said: “I have always admired Jumeirah for its ‘dare to be different’ culture and its forward-looking vision. I am honoured to have been appointed and fully committed to leading the business and the brand into its next level of growth. Jumeirah is one of Dubai’s most iconic brands and a symbol of the Emirate.”

Prior to assuming his new position, he served as the regional vice president – France, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal as well as general manager of Hotel George V in Paris.

Abdulla Al Habbai, chairman of parent company Dubai Holding said in a separate statement: “We are determined to continue developing Jumeirah into a globally recognised national champion; setting new industry benchmarks for world class service and quality.”
