LIMITED EDITION 755 HP FORD F-150 SHELBY DEBUTS IN UAE

Powerful vehicle now available at Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors

The Ford F-150 vehicle line up in the UAE received a powerful boost with the Limited Edition Shelby version with 755 HP arriving at Al Tayer Motors’ showrooms in Dubai & the Northern Emirates, and Premier Motors’ showrooms in Abu Dhabi.

A limited number of vehicles are available for sale through the UAE’s official importer-dealer for Ford vehicles, which retails 24 variants of the multiple award-winning full-size pickup truck. Also joining the line-up for the first time is the Ford F-150 Shelby Raptor Baja, said to be the ultimate off-road vehicle, giving customers a wider range of options. Off-road aficionados, looking to take to the sand dunes of the UAE in the cooler season ahead now have more options to go dune bashing in style.

Perfect for the upcoming off-road season, these vehicles are sure to make a mark on the roads and dunes of the UAE,” said Helal Hanei Omar, Senior Vice-President – Ford, Al Tayer Motors. The starting price for the F-150 Shelby is AED 446,145/- (inclusive of VAT) and it is available in two different configurations, while the Shelby Raptor Baja is priced at AED 524,895/- (inclusive of VAT). The vehicles come with a three-year / 60,000 km warranty.

The 2018 F-150 Shelby is equipped with a 5.0-liter V-8 and has a BDS suspension lift, 18-inch wheels wrapped in BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 tyres, upgraded Fox Racing shocks, and several unique pieces of bodywork that include a new wire-mesh grille, functional ram air hood scoop, fender flares, Shelby graphics, and a tonneau cover.

Under the hood, Shelby has added a supercharger and high-flow fuel injectors to the 5.0-liter V-8 that cranks up the engine to deliver 755 horsepower. Combined with the 10-speed automatic transmission the truck is highly capable and powerful.

The additional Shelby Performance equipment on the vehicle include: Shelby performance programmer tuned to 755 HP, blower & intake manifold powder coated in Ford Racing Blue, open air performance intake with high flow filter, oversized carbon fibre air intake tube, performance aluminium heat exchanger, upgraded billet throttle body, upgraded high performance fuel injectors, performance rear traction bars, Shelby tuned Borla performance exhaust, Black dual exhaust tips, dual intake ‘RAM AIR’ Shelby Super Snake hood, and functional front fender vents for increased engine cooling. The exclusive Shelby-engineered Fox shock system includes Raptor Style FOX shocks for all four wheels, adjustable dual speed controls on all four shocks, front & rear 2.5-inch Fox Aluminium body reservoir shocks, and Fox top-of-the-line internal bypass technology.

Shelby Raptor Baja

The Shelby Raptor Baja is an extreme off-roader with key enhancements to the truck’s suspension, power and styling. The most noticeable change to the newest generation Shelby Raptor Baja is its amazing suspension system. Developed with Fox Racing, the four-corner adjustable system includes reliable technologies that adapt to any terrain from smooth streets to rigorous off-road trails with a simple ‘no tool needed’ adjustment. The robust suspension system rides on high performance BFGoodrich KM2 35/12.50R18 tyres mounted to 18-inch alloy wheels. This super truck has a fully functional ram air hood decorated with Shelby lettering and striping. A custom front bumper, rear bumper and chase rack surround the truck. It even features eight LED light configuration, as well as two spare tyres mounted on the truck bed, which facilitates easy replacement of tyres in case of any requirement while driving off-road. Metal rock sliders with automatic running boards flank the sides for an easy step after the three-inch lift. The Shelby Raptor Baja edition embroidered custom leather seats, floor-mats and console-badging make the interior distinctive. The dashboard features the important numbered CSM serial number plate with the number entered in the official Shelby Registry.
